We would like to inform you that we will be conducting renovation work on the 4th and 5th floor guest rooms during the following dates.
We will pay close attention to safety and noise, but there may be some noise during the work.

Time: 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Noise will be temporarily compensated for a few days during the above schedule period, but sufficient consideration will be given. Please kindly be informed that the schedule may be extended depending on the work situation.
Guest rooms on the 1st, 2nd, and on the 6th through 12th floors will be available as usual.
We apologize for all the inconvenience this will cause to guests staying or using the hotel during the daytime, and we appreciate your understanding.

In Japan, the custom of drinking tea (green tea) is rooted in daily life – after a meal, to quench your thirst, to warm you up, and for refreshment. At home, it is common to use a teapot and tea leaves in order to make the tea. You can also see many people on the city streets drinking tea from plastic bottles, like the famous “PET Bottle.” Beverage manufacturers sell many types of bottled beverages in vending machines and convenience stores – cold ones in summer, and warm ones in winter. In Japan, tea is not something that only certain people drink. It is an essential part of life which everyone enjoys in their own way, regardless of age or gender.

Mizuhiki refers to a form of decorative art used in Japan at auspicious events and to offer one’s condolences. They are beautiful ornamental cords that come in colors such as red/white and white/black and are used to tie gift wrapping and envelopes.
Japanese people love cherry blossoms. I have never met a Japanese person who says they hate cherry blossoms. I believe the experience is similar to how Americans love baseball, and Italians love soccer -- this is content that is adored on a national level. In J-POP, there are enough cherry blossom-themed songs to build a mountain. A lot of meteorological institutions announce their predictions as to when the cherry trees will bloom. From schools to workplaces, talk about when to go cherry blossom viewing or if you've gone already is a hot topic. And if a storm were to arrive during full bloom, the weather announcers on TV will discuss, with the sternest possible expressions, the possibility that the cherry blossoms may scatter. According to one theory, the Japanese mentality to desire an elegant exit is mirrored in the scattering of the cherry blossom petals -- perhaps that is a good match with the notion that the cherry blossoms are scattering at the height of their beauty. I believe that may be true.
This is the extent to which the nationally beloved cherry blossoms are (most likely) imprinted upon our minds, perhaps even more than we imagined. In the spring, when the cities are seeped in the pink colors of the cherry blossoms, no matter where you go in Tokyo, even a simple stroll becomes an enjoyable experience. The special cherry blossom season, a moment that lasts only for one week out of the year. Even during the coronavirus pandemic, the cherry trees will still blossom.
They will bloom in an instant, and scatter before you know it, so we recommend that you venture out on good weather days.

When people from overseas ask me about the best time of year to visit Tokyo, I always recommend either the cherry blossom season or winter, when the city is lit up with spectacular light displays. The four seasons in Japan are beautiful, with each one offering its own unique pleasures, but if your visit is limited to Tokyo, the beauty of the city during these two seasons is truly exceptional. Especially during the winter illumination season, the whole city is basked in golden lights, making it a fun place to visit no matter where you go. You can enjoy gorgeous light displays from early December through the beginning of February in various spots around Tokyo. "Akifukaki, tonari wa nani wo, suru hito zo."
It means, "As autumn grows deeper, I wonder what the person beside me is doing?"
