Recently, longtime guests Mr. Ken Love and his wife, who are from Hawaii, chose our hotel as the setting for the celebration of their golden wedding anniversary, marking 50 years of marriage.

For this story, we spoke with Mr. Ken Love, who has been staying with us for more than 30 years.

1. A Relationship That Began with Business Travel

Q.When did you first stay at Shiba Park Hotel, and what brought you here?

Mr. Ken “It was about 30 years ago. I was visiting Tokyo for business, and that was when I stayed at the hotel for the first time.”

What began with a business trip grew into a lasting relationship. Since then, Mr. Ken Love has returned to Shiba Park Hotel whenever he visits Tokyo and continues to stay with us two or three times a year.

2. A Place to Call “Home in Tokyo”

Q.What has brought you back to Shiba Park Hotel over the years?

“The staff are genuinely kind. They always give me such a warm welcome, and I feel completely at ease here.”

Mr. Ken Love also shared the names of several team members who have made a particularly lasting impression on him. He then offered us the words that meant the most:

“This is my home in Tokyo.”

Perhaps the reason guests continue to choose us year after year lies not only in our building and facilities, but also in the connections formed between people.

“It is a place where I can truly relax. Whenever I come to Tokyo, staying here just feels natural.”

His words reflected the trust and affection that have grown over the past 30 years.
