On New Year’s Day 2026, Shiba Park Hotel held a special New Year’s event in the lobby to offer our guests a memorable start to the year. Omotenashi concierges welcomed guests dressed in traditional kimono and served sake, inviting them to experience an aspect of Japanese cultural hospitality.
The event was held exclusively for staying guests and offered on a complimentary basis. Sake was served in special wooden masu cups engraved with the Shiba Park Hotel logo, which guests were welcome to take home as a keepsake to mark the New Year.
To celebrate the arrival of the New Year, the hotel was decorated with seasonal touches throughout. The Book Tree in the lobby is a project created by collecting books that guests no longer read, and it has become one of Shiba Park Hotel’s signature features. Decorated with a shimenawa rope adorned with pine branches and mizuhiki cords, it was styled with a New Year’s touch that reflects the refined spirit of Japanese tradition.
In addition, an arrangement combining bamboo, pine, camellia, and winterberry was installed along the central staircase, bringing a sense of seasonal elegance and traditional Japanese beauty to the space.
Shiba Park Hotel will continue to create heartfelt experiences for our guests throughout the year.
