This book explains the famous story “The Little Prince” in a simple way through Zen. Zen ideas are closely connected to our daily lives. One part I remember well is when the prince says goodbye to the fox. The book compares this to the Japanese idea of Ichigo Ichie, which means “once-in-a-lifetime encounter”. It made me think that every moment and every meeting are special and happens only once. I also feel that encountering this book was one of Ichigo Ichie. It helped me realize how important everyday life and the present moment are.
